It
took us about 26 hours to get home just because of all the flights we
had to take back, especially since we had added on the Amazon portion
later than the flights from the US to Cusco. Luckily none of them were late and our bags made it to the US...most importantly.
On the way back we didn't have anyone get randomly pushed to stand by, thank goodness. The
trip back was pretty smooth. The only holdup we had was Becky and my
backpack at TSA, mostly because of a power trip. She got flagged for her
banana grams and I guess the skittles in my bag sounded an alarm. I know we look suspicious.
We
are now landing in San Diego and while it's always great to fly back
into this this special city it's sad when the adventures are over.
Traveling definitely feeds my desire to explore more of the world and
makes me remember how important it is to me. This trip was unique and
extra special because of the varying perspectives we all have which was
neat to see and then also how much we were learning along the way. We
learning about history, people, animals, habitats and then as always
different cultures meeting people along the way from different
countries. I am always grateful for the new perspectives. This
trip definitely felt spiritually in certain ways because of the
civilizations we were learning about and opportunities we had to reflect
on our own lives along the way. It was a good one...adventure definitely beckons!!
