My last rainy days
The last few days I spent in Lugano, unfortunately included a lot of rain. I ended up going to Ascona with Brenda, one of my student's moms that I love. We were hoping the weather would be a bit better there. Instead it was also pouring, but we were able to stay dry having a nice glass of Roederer champagne at Seven. From there we at least walked down the street to check out the new Seven Asia, and then headed over to Seven Easy to have a bite to eat. Of course my friend Igino came in to say hi and sat with us while we shared out pizza that I thought was called TONO, so when I ordered I said we'll have the Pizza Tono. Unfortunuately, for use, TONNO means tuna fish. Our first pizza that came out was just cheese and tuna...YUCK. Luckily, Igino was there and could explain to his friends, no they wanted the Pizza Tano, with an A. Then they took it back and I thought it was all okay, until the pizza came back as the pizza Tano, but with the tuna fish on top. Yuck, again, not sure why they love the tuna on pizza. From there we just decided to eat what we could and take off the tuna. Once we got back to Lugano we watched a great foreign film called Cinema Paradiso on their nice big screen tv. What a treat for me! Since I was sticking around to go to Greece with Ash, I wasn't in a rush to leave Lugano, but most of my other friends were leaving quickly. This is mostly because we have to be out of our apartments rather quickly. I at least had a few days to get things sorted and packed up. The real bummer was I had the car checked out and not many places to go in the persistent rain.
