Can it be any more beautiful...?

I am trying not to bombard you with posts. I promise I will add more pictures soon. When we've been on runs lately, we keep saying, "wow I wish I had my camera." Yesterday, we went running near Gandria, a town to the east of Lugano. The path wrapped around the lake and consisted of mostly gravel paths. Along the path, were restaurants and small hotels you can usually only get to by boat. Of course we were on foot, since we were running, but most people would prefer not to walk so far to dinner. You can take a boat from Lugano to Gandria. After finishing our run, we walked towards Lugano where we came across a rope swing you can use to enter the lake, a lido (or beach area) you can come to to enjoy the lake, and tennis courts...who would have thought? Maybe I need to bring my racket... Luckily, Martha (a third grade (also new teacher) from Minneapolis) and Blair (who has been in Lugano a year) both enjoy running. Blair knows all the best routes and is a great leader. Martha and I just follow along! Today was busy with school. Teaching my kids here is challenging mostly because of the language issues. Tonight my roommate Stacey and I are going to Lugano for dinner. We're excited to "get off the island" we call it and actually feel like adults!
