Ready for the weekend!

With only one more week to go until Spring Break, this weekend could not have come fast enough. At home, I usually blamed restless behavior at school on spring fever. I guess here it's a little more extreme, since they really have emerged from winter. The fifth graders here are definitely testing my patience, but then again it's probably not the kids, but the other factors. :)

My second set of spring visitors arrive today. My Aunt, my mom's sister, flies into Milan today. Sally and I are going to meet them this afternoon. We're staying the night at a hotel in the Corso Como area called NH Grand Hotel Verdi. I'm excited to go for the night to meet my Aunt and her friend, be in the city and also see some other friends that live there. We're planning on dinner in the area and then Sally and I are going to meet up with Bernie, my Swiss friend that lives in Milan. He teaches at the Swiss school there, so he is going to take us out for the night! The forecasters are saying rain for the next few days, and I am hoping they are wrong. It's been so nice here and I really want it to be perfect for my Aunt Jo and her friend Heidi! I have planned the weekend full of fun events, including a chocolate and wine fair in Lugano and also some days trips to nearby towns. Crossing my fingers!
