Back into the groove...

I have to say it hasn't been the easiest coming back this year. It was so nice to be home and definitely hard to leave. Luckily, I came back for the ski trip, which made the transition a little easier. Getting sick on the trip and then facing freezing weather here has been tough. Once I started feeling better, I was reminded of why I made the decision to move abroad and I have started to appreciate my location again. My friend Sally and I are traveling down to Florence this weekend to visit my friend Amy, who is completing her internship for cooking school. She is working at a restaurant called Beccofino that was a favorite of mine when I was abroad in Florence in college. It should be a nice weekend and it will be great to be somewhere where the weather is a few degrees warmer. Luckily the sun has still be shining here, but I am still not very fond of 30 degrees. I guess I am just really a California girl. It's been especially difficult hearing everyone rave about the 75 degree weather San Diego is having right now. Next week we're planning on getting back to Milan one night for an Inauguration Party this time. Hopefully we won't have quite as late of a night as the last time! I'm looking forward to my long weekend in London with Kelly coming up and then also working on planning spring break and my final trip with Ashley at the end. By the way, does anyone have any info. about Croatia? I guess life is not too rough! :) Will be sure to post some more pictures after Florence. Miss you all!
