Schools out...

The change is really setting in now that school is over here. At our SSF end of the year party, I came to realization that I am really leaving. Everyone was so sweet and said so many nice things about working with me. Cara got up and talked about what a wonderful team we make working together, Tobie talked about me being a magnet to people around me, and Andrea reminded me how much she would miss me popping in her room with my coffee in the mornings. Julie also reminded everyone that the story at SSF is that you may check out, but you never actually leave. She also reminisced about my beginning as a teacher...how I started out at SSF as a student teacher and how she has seen me grow as a teacher. SSF is such a special place, and it's obviously very hard to leave! The part that resonated the most was the fact that so many of them wished they were in my shoes embarking on such a wonderful adventure. As scary as it may seem right now, I know in the future I will always be glad I took a risk. I don't think I will ever have any regrets about taking a chance.
